Thank You- David Kush

I've not seen any but those who fought in Byzantine service alongside and against the Catalans could have been of very Byzantine appearance as the Byzantines provided them with horses and weapons. Also given the rate at which clothes wear out, when in Byzantine service they probably ended up buying some Byzantine clothes or at least cloth

There are a couple of mediaeval reconstructions in Kouznetsov & Lebedynsky (https://amazon.co.uk/Alains-Cavaliers-steppes-seigneurs-Caucase/dp/2877722953/), but not that late (the front cover illustration is supposed to be 8th century or so, IIRC). This page (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?756303-(Research)-The-Alan-Kingdom) has some mediaeval stuff, including a couple of statues that might be as late as the 14th century, but might be a lot earlier.
