New interpretation of cave paintings

As is too oft typical of the Beeb, no link to the original source.  Furthermore, poorly written, eg the inability to spell "archaeological".  However, an interesting, and to my mind totally credible, thesis.

Heard it this morning on the radio, and as you say, interesting. Apparently there have been papers published.

I have had a quick look at the Cambridge Archaeological Journal, but failed to see a relevant one, despite a recent slew of stuff on rock art.  Perhaps pre-publication press release?
