I love Byzantine history but my knowledge after around 1100 is sadly lacking so I will peruse to see if it sparks anything

Particularly interesting with regard to the tactics and formations used by Catalan Almughavars, who seem to have been much more flexible than most army lists allowed.

Don't get me started - this is a particular bugbear of mine.  I have tried to get this changed but keep coming up against (******) - any more and I will get moderated
