Shaun tells me that before the games the Crusaders hadn't been out of a display cabinet for 23 years. There's a movie there somewhere....
If that was there first outing in 23 years, then no wonder it took some time to shake the dust off....

Of course it's always possible that I described my plan as being what happened in the game...
Good games. There doesn't appear to be 'wear' on units that fight and thus tge Abbasids cannot degrade tge Crusaders and are doomed if tge combat stays frontsl.
