Early Roman settlement at Driffield

Thats really interesting Duncan, as a side note in the mid 80's I was a village policeman at Wetwang just outside of Driffield when they found a double burial early celtic (possibly bronze age) containing the remains of 2 chariots and what they believed were a local prince and princess.  The military from the nearby base guarded the site while studies were made.  The experts were able to trace remains of items through the UK into Europe and to the Middle East showing how the trade networks operated back then.  It was fascinating information
