hopefully they will continue and persist with getting to the 7 or 9 possible buried statues (plus whatever else is under the boulder layer)

That shipwreck continues to be one of the most exciting ever.  As for how 4th C BC Greek artifacts happen to be on a Roman shipwreck... Roman looting seems the obvious answer.

if it hadn' ::)t been for the storm, it could have ended up in some rich Roman's summer house in Herculaneum....no wait....er.....
