As Nick said, the Zurich contingent was very late and the others seemed keen to be sure Zurich was actively involved for political reasons.  The fact that the command of the Gewalthaufen was given to a Zuricher also probably reflects the politics.

There is also the theory that on the Burgundian side the forces under the Comte de Romont (from memory) might have had a secret agreement not to fight the Swiss...

This sounds like one those great post de facto conspiracy theories - something along the lines of "We would have won the battle except for this guy who we have just condemned as a traitor - take him to the axeman!" 

And all this in the days before social media or lockdown laws!

Romont remained a member of the Burgundian court post Charles and became a member of the Order of the Golden Fleece.  This suggests that any accusations of treachery weren't taken that seriously at the time.

Romont was evidently luckier (or at least found his boss in a better mood) than Lord Wenlock at the Tewkesbury.
