Title: Has Archeology shed any new light on Early Carthage?
Post by: Tim on July 28, 2014, 08:46:52 PM
From the primary and secondary sources it seems that we know very little about the history of Early Carthage.  Has Archeology brought us any new insights into the history of Carthage prior to say 300 BC?

There's https://www.academia.edu/2421053/Dating_the_foundation_of_Carthage (https://www.academia.edu/2421053/Dating_the_foundation_of_Carthage).

Also http://www.academia.edu/3126510/An_Archaeological_History_of_Carthaginian_Imperialism (http://www.academia.edu/3126510/An_Archaeological_History_of_Carthaginian_Imperialism) - which I am not wholly convinced by, but has some interesting ideas.
