Title: Dating and nature of early Chinese military writing
Post by: Andreas Johansson on November 13, 2018, 09:02:31 AM
I chanced upon a paper about the dating and nature of the Seven Military Classics and other early military writing in the light of tomb finds of texts:

Writings on Warfare Found in Ancient Chinese Tombs (http://www.sino-platonic.org/complete/spp158_chinese_tomb_warfare_writings.pdf), by Mark Edward Lewis (2005)

Not new, but might be interesting to some here :)

It's an interesting little paper. Lewis is the author of Sanctioned Violence in Early China (https://amazon.co.uk/Sanctioned-Violence-Chinese-Philosophy-Culture/dp/0791400778/) , which has been on my to-read list for quite some time.
