This is news to me.  May it bring some Christmas cheer.  Will some manufacturer be bold enough to produce some figures?

Bad Squiddo already offers a mixed pack of 13 slugs and snails.  No puppy dogs tails though.

There is also a range of figures for the fighting rabbits of marginalia out there.

That's probably the Peter Pig 15mm range, made by Martin Goddard (SoA member, writer of Conqueror and Kings ancient set, just reissued).
Here's a pic gleaned from the interweb of the demon snails in action-

Personally, I think the Lombard theory is over-thinking it. It best to see these as part of a whole array of absurd marginalia.  They are meant to be humorous and often have some sort of social commentary e.g. foxes preaching to geese, knights fighting snails.

These are the sorts of figures the rules were created for  8)

Whether the creators realised or not  ;)

And if anyone would like a painted pile of carrots to decorate the base of their fighting rabbit baggage camp, I have one going spare.

Anything seems possible these days. A few chaps here in Taunton play the Burrows and Badgers game that seems fun, no snails though.

What's with the Black Rat Doctor figure?  I mean, I know the NHS is short of staff in all sorts of areas, but this seems slightly desperate.
