Title: Iberian/Colchian armies
Post by: RichardBodleyScott on October 25, 2016, 08:00:25 PM
Has anyone done any further research on Iberian/Colchian armies since issues 173 and 178?

I did some independently before I got hold of copies of those issues but came to much the same conclusions. Apart from the usual suspects for 1st century BC/1st century AD, I've just come across the Georgian Chronicle which adds colour if little else

Have a look at https://iberiaandrome.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/iberia-and-rome.pdf - especially "Cat. no. 92", who looks like a Sarmatian lancer in Parthian over-trousers - though the author raises the possibility that he might actually be a Parthian.

For the infantry, http://pix.ge/x/b/b/m8krf/ is Iberian, though I can't remember where it comes from.
