Interesting piece, but it still takes us no further forward, as his critique of Agathias is based upon the assumption that Agathias was basing his anti-Persian prejudice on better evidence than his pro-Persian contemporaries, and they were only superficially pro-Persian as they were actually just anti-Justinian.
