re the incidence rate in Yorkshire, it certainly seems that way (that Durham University website is very good btw).
Isn't that where the Parisii are supposed to be? I recall it as being good evidence that the idea if invasion from the continent was still a good model as opposed to some sort of cultural osmosis.

Yes - Pocklington, where the chariot has been found, is within the Parisii area of habitation.
Not sure about the other 25 chariots previously discovered.
Would explain the driving seen round L'Arc de Triomphe last time I was in Paris...
