A delightfully simple explanation of HS2 for our Canadians friends there :) In fact, it's a very controversial multiphase project. Avoiding the politics and focussing on the archaeology, it will keep archaeologists occupied for decades if successive governments maintain a commitment to it, so there could be lots more to come.

Sorry Dave, but it looks like your HS2 archaeological dream will be cut short, as Phases II and III have been axed . However, there's probably plenty more still to come as they complete Phase I.
