It's interesting that the artist delivers some quite decent horses but his chariot drawing is all over the place. I wonder if his pattern book had chariots and naked heroic figures but not naked heroic figures fighting chariots, so he had to improvise?
or had too much Falernian....
It's a nice one, even if the artist wasn't sure what he was doing.
