More about the excavation from the local goverment website (https://www-city-nara-lg-jp.translate.goog/site/press-release/165641.html?_x_tr_sl=ja&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=ja#pagetop) in Nara.  Hopefully this is the English version.
