Good spot Dave. It's a curious thing that people have long tried to make history more interesting with exotic origin stories but I suppose William of Occam would not be surprised by this.

Not really surprising but would be nice to see more samples from more sites to get a fuller picture.

I found the overview far too superficial for me personally (but then I studied a lot of genetics at Uni) so found the original article much more to my taste  ;D
