(Well I do have a 15mm Khmer army to paint!)
I havent worked out how to cross link posts so doing this as a notice to direct you to post under the 'Painting & Terrain' tab and sub-heading 'Painting traditional cloth designs on toy soldiers' where you will find a link to traditional Khmer / Cambodian dye colours and patterns both silk and others.

This came from a discussion on DBA Fanaticus about what 'colours' would be used in a Burmese army, and Ken Gordon shared what he had learned about Khmer dyes / colours and patterns.
Over on DBA Fanaticus you will find list of resources about Burmese that I wont repeat here or above.

Carl, generic answer to linking to message is treat them like other weblinks. So, go to message, copy web address, return to current post, paste address. This is what I did above. Like other weblinks, you can use the link button if you wish to create linked text e.g.
post on Khmer clothing colours (http://soa.org.uk/sm/index.php?msg=91513)
Hope this helps
Cheers Anthony.
Will try out
