Do pizzas have to have tomatoes?

I've had a bacon pizza without any tomato and it tasted fine.

The good news is a three part series on the new finds. :)

Also interesting was the "wallpaper".  After years of imagining Roman rooms in "Pompeii Red", we can now seen that others preferred something brighter/more garish.

I think you'll find that was a bacon sandwich, not a pizza

Ah yes, but they never mastered flocking for their wallpaper.  This might also explain their relatively narrow choice of restaurant cuisines.

It isnt a good restaurant unless it has flocked wallpaper

It may come as a shock, Dave, but in other parts of the UK, eateries have embraced a aesthetic which doesn't use wall paper at all.  All plain white walls and bare brick.  Sorry.

Welshmen get... frustrated... without a nice flock.

It was a pizza. Bacon in a sandwich is heresy.

Justin, I knew you had some weird ideas, but dissing the bacon sarnie - God's own breakfast - is going too far.

That's true.

Bacon sarnies are sacrosanct

Bacon belongs on a plate (or in a pizza). With fried eggs. And maybe chips. I rest my case.

Unless Jewish or Muslim, the only legitimate issue with the bacon sandwich is whether, like me, you prefer just a lot of butter, or insist on adding brown or red sauce.

Good quality bacon does not need sauce!
(It is best served on a bed of runner beans which have been picked fresh from the garden with perhaps a little butter and black pepper - yum!)
