Well if you are going to have a wind chime.....
I guess once you move past chariots, there's no Ferrari option for middle age, so the roof is the next ostentatious point of display to go for.
It's not like they could wave a prominent codpiece under that toga
No ;D
Wind chime or door bell?
???
both
Frankie Howerd is looking down from heaven, distressed at a visual gag opportunity missed in Up Pompeii.
oooohhhhhh
Again, for overseas members, you need to know Frankie Howerd was an old-school comedian known for his innuendo-laden patter. Dave's long "oooh" was a trade-mark utterance. He starred as Lurkio in the aforementioned "Up Pompeii", an everyday tale of family life in a 1st century Oscan town (imagine archly raised eye-brow at this point).
;D
Complete episodes of this comedy classic can be found on Youtube.
:)
Of course, the script writers raided Plautus for some material for bonus points.
I have the complete series and film on DVD...

This one needs explanation for not just overseas members but any under 65. A famous, and very influential, comedy radio show of the 50s and 60s. Known for its anarchic approach. Not, as far as I know, known for its exploration of Roman history.
Ying tong iddle I po, as the Goons might say.
