I have always been interested in the cultural aspects of early civilisations, often intangible centuries later other than through symbols in their stonework or metalwork / bonework / leather or wood were they survive, but occasionally beliefs surface in modern world reflecting old rituals or beliefs, and the use of modern materials to represent these can suggest colours for our armies and camps (or edifices).
Here is a short report and colourful insight (photography) into very early pre Hindu rituals and those that they later merged with in Hindu society, from modern Kerala state in southern India.
