Title: Pikes versus Pila
Post by: Chris on March 24, 2017, 10:05:06 AM
Gentlemen,

Here is a "quick and dirty" (meaning that it was only proofread three times) report about a large ADLG scenario based on the historical battle of Magnesia.

Have a pleasant weekend.

Cheers,

Chris

Well, what a superb piece of writing Chris. I thought it was well written and I love the markers used in the refight, simple but effective. Really enjoyed reading that so well done

Particularly interesting for me is that despite the inflation of the Roman legionary contingent (from four to nine legion/ala equivalents), Antiochus' intended battle plan (a double envelopment) was still used by the Seleucid army and still won the day.

Historically, he would have done the same had it not been for the fog - and Eumenes.
