Title: Iberian greaves from Himera
Post by: Duncan Head on February 05, 2018, 02:42:39 PM
Two short articles on a pair of bronze greaves of Iberian type found at Himera in Sicily, probably worn by a Spanish soldier in the Carthaginian army in the battle of 480 BC:

The English of the second one is not great ("a greaves couple" for "a pair of greaves") but is comprehensible.

See http://soa.org.uk/sm/index.php?topic=250.0 for discussion of Himera in our Battles thread.
