Title: Egyptian Sherden
Post by: Erpingham on April 14, 2019, 02:46:08 PM
Another thread on costume led me indirectly to this article (http://www.enim-egyptologie.fr/revue/2017/2/Abbas_ENiM10_p7-23.swf.pdf).  From the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, this is a review of the evidence for Sherden in Egyptian service.  It is a pretty straightforward listing so you are free to add your own personal interpretations :)

One feature of Egyptian inscriptions not brought out in the article is that when Sherden are actually identified as Sherden in the inscription, they appear to have earrings.  Here (http://www.salimbeti.com/micenei/images/seapeoples15.jpg) is a case in point.
