Title: Roman cavalry against the German tribes
Post by: Erpingham on July 05, 2019, 01:56:09 PM
Another article (https://www.academia.edu/39723966/Roman_horsemen_against_Germanic_tribes._The_Rhineland_frontier_cavalry_fighting_styles_31_BC_-_AD_256._Archaeologica_Hereditas_12_Warsaw_2018_Institute_of_Archaeology_Cardinal_Stefan_Wyszynski_University?email_work_card=title) from the lucky dip which is my academia feed.  I think I looked up something about Arrian once a few years back and it now occassionally finds things about Roman cavalry to send me ???

Anyway, this one is good value is it is an entire book on Roman cavalry.  I'll leave it to the Romanists to decide whether it is any good but a quick glance shows plenty of illustrations and reconstructions.

Interesting, thanks.

Most, if not all, of the illustrations are familiar from (=ripped off from) elsewhere, mind.
