Teotihuacan tunnel finds in Mexico

A dig in at the Teotihuacan site in Mexico yields further finds. Not our usual fare as its the Americas but fascinating stuff. I am waiting for the "Alien and Predator" artefacts to start showing up!

They have been working on this tunnel for a couple of years now and still have not published anything.  Hopefully this will push our knowledge of ancient American warfare waaaay back.  Most of the lists I know of don't start until around 1100AD due to the dearth of knowledge.  It would be cool if they found some weapons down there.... along with who wielded them and against whom...

It looks as if that particular tunnel complex may have been priests only, alas.  The excavators even have a robot helping out.  And we notice they have cleared another 90 feet of tunnel between articles ...

Not so much "under discussion" as "officially ignored", I fear. Steve Rathgay's pushing to get some earlier Mexican stuff into the current DBMM list revision, but I don't know how much success there will be.
