From the article:

"The size of the coal seam [sic], the amount of intact rivets and the 44 shield bulges, are all indicating that the Myklebust ship must have been at least 25 to 30 m long and 6.5 m wide. It may also have had 22 Shields on each side, that is a total of 44 oars."

Elsewhere in the article it is given as 30m (97.5 feet) long and 6m (19.5 feet) wide.  With 22 shields, and hence presumably rowers, per side, the interscalmium (front-to-rear space occupied by a rower) seems to be slightly more than 3 feet, allowing about 15 feet at each end for a curving prow and stern.  In essence, it is about the size assumed for a Greek penteconter.

It will be interesting to see how this construction project works out.
