Has lockdown been good for digs?

There seem to have been a lot more reported digs over the last few months, presumably many from digs over lockdown spring / summer.

Coincidence?
Slow news months?
Anything but another story on Covid?
Or actually is lockdown good for small dig teams?

good question Mark.

the majority (but not all) of digs come about via development of land (new housing estates, repurposing buildings, roads etc) so presumably the glut would have to come about from these activities. I dont think we are building more than ever especially in 2020/21 though. Leads me to assume non covid stories are either intentional or we are just looking for stuff ourselves to steer our minds onto nicer things
