It's almost handy, Cockermouth is barely two hours from here in summer, slightly less in winter 

People forget how big Cumbria is and how bad the roads are 

But yes an interesting find. There are actually quite a few Edward 1st silver pennies found, probably paid to local lads called up for service north of the border
