While a quick check on Prof. Korpe shows he has got form in battlefield archaeology, I do wish we had some link from Greek Reporter to some detailed paper laying out his evidence.

My main comment is  ::)

That the battle took place somewhere near Biga on the Biga River has been known for as long as I can remember (or a lot longer). If the precise spot has been identified (how?) that might be of interest - Reyhan Korpe has a lot of stuff on Academia about it which I suppose I ought to read, but it's mostly in Turkish (reasonably enough) and frankly I don't have great expectations. "The area around the battlefield will also be improved to make it more attractive for visitors." Uh huh. Follow the money.
