Crushed vertebrae seem a slightly questionable basis for labelling one of the chaps a slave.  Not saying that he was not, just think a bit of an assumption given plenty of other ways to knacker your back in the 1st century.  Still, makes for a good headline.  Too young to be Lurkio and Ludicrus Sextus.
