I had a look at this. Knowledge of the Vikings seems to have come on a lot in recent years. This reminds me that there was an (I thought) an excellent documentary about Ivar back in 2003 by Nabil Shaban suggesting that he suffered from brittle bone as does Nabil. This was rather dismissed by some historians at the time but the evidence Shaban presented seemed good to me does anyone know the prescribing on this. Wikipedia does at least credit the concept these days.
