An analysis of medieval armour 1300+ from monuments

Looks interesting Roy.  I must admit to having geeky moments and reading technical stuff about Medieval armour.

On a practical basis, I shall use this to defend the obvious time differences between my 14th HYW figures' armour (yes, that armour was new in the 1340s but they were still using it in the 1370s) :)

I thnk the big difference would be in the 'soft furnishings' of the knights as you could easily wear 1340 armour with a 1370 jupon and belt.
Though even there people wore old fashioned stuff. Wasn't someone killed through getting his sours caght in the long rear drape of his old fashioned cerclas

Our old friend Sir John Chandos was killed because he tripped on his long (and old fashioned for the time) surcoat at the Bridge of Lussac.
