At the rate bank branches are closing in East Anglia, we too might well be reduced to burying our cash in the back-garden very soon.

Where were such coins minted?

If it's not locally, it seems a bit of a stretch to get the coin minted, to England, worn and then buried during the revolt in the same year it was minted. Not impossible, but?

We don't know that the coin minted in the year of the revolt was worn at all, do we? Most of the coins in the hoard are much older.
