Had a quick read through and although out of my immediate period of interest because its close to home made me want to have a delve. I especially like the appendices including a summary of the spear types depicted on the Bayeux Tapestry

I've also had a look through.  Has some interesting bits and pieces on the archaeology, though we might ask questions whether all the weapons found in Wales were used by the Welsh.

Probably strongest in the early part of the period.  Perhaps I need to look more closely but I think it might have considered more how "traditional" Welsh warfare and weaponry was transformed to something more similar to the English in the 14th century.

BTW, in reference to discussion on buying books twice on the Currently Reading topic, when I down loaded this I discovered I'd already done so once last autumn.  I clearly didn't read it then, so I've made some progress.
