It will be interesting to see whether they are able to demonstrate any evidence to tie the villa more closely to the Ostrogothic period - at the risk of being uncharitable, the links above seem to be possibly a case of claiming a Theoderician connection for the sake of publicity, which is perfectly understandable, and even partly excusable, if one is desperately trying to drum up support for further investment in the site...  Even the ancient-origins article seems to be rather cautious on the linkage with Theoderic.  That said, clearly an important and fascinating find whatever the possible hyperbole.
