As a one time RNR officer, I must admit that the train of thought that goes through my mind is:

"So how do you know what Bronze Age boats looked like?"
"Oh, we are copying several that sank."
"That sank.  Hmmmm..."

Anyway, best of luck to them.  At least they will have lifejackets  :)

Jeremy Black (ed) : Cavalry Warfare From Ancient Times to Today

A free downloadable 500 page book in PDF.  Six chapters from our period.  Some well-known authors scattered throughout and a wide geography of examples. I've only read one article so far (by Cliff Rogers on Italian battles of 11th & 12th centuries) but look forward to looking at more.
