An interesting pair of forces selected to represent the various Romans - Early century French and a confederation of German cities. Felt a bit sorry for the Germans. They obviously couldn't get much backing from the aristocracy and were short of men-at-arms - not a good place to be against the flower of French chivalry.

Perhaps an eventual rematch or even a different ahistorical contest featuring 6th century Persians or Indians? Maybe something set in the 9th century?
