Title: Byzantine cataphracts
Post by: Erpingham on April 29, 2021, 03:37:25 PM
Came across this article  (https://repository.uwtsd.ac.uk/id/eprint/856/1/Scott,%20Elliott%20(2017)_Changing%20role%20of%20the%20cataphract.pdf) while reading around cavalry wedges.  Ok, its essentially an undergraduate essay rather than a serious academic study but I think I'd be saying "good article" if it was in Slingshot, so worth a read.

I love the way cataphract in Welsh is being rendered "cataffract"...  After all, that is how Arthur must have spelled it when commissioning his Kn(X)  ::)
