SoA Stand at Warfare

The Society of Ancients stand will be at Warfare this coming weekend (12th and 13th November 2023) at Farnborough.    If anyone who is attending the show could spare an hour or two to assist with the stand (no experience required) then I would appreciate it.  I will be there both days.

Warfare proved an excellent show at its new venue, the Farnborough International Conference Centre on the airfield.

On Saturday the Eastbourne Club members put on a refight of Asculum using Impetus rules with wonderful 28mm figures.  A pyrrhic victory, but this time to the Romans!   

On Sunday we had MeG Pacto and Strength and Honour demonstrations to promote the SoA Battle Day on 25th March 2023.  Both games were set up for the Battle of Mantinea.  In the MeG Pacto game the Thebans were comprehensively beaten although Epaminondas did not die.  We didn't complete a Strength and Honour game.

We took three membership subscriptions and over £180 of sales.  Thanks to everyone who helped out.
