Thracian medium cavalry shield colour(s)

I have bought samples of these from Donnington:



It's listed as "HC15 Late Seleucid Thracian Mercenary Cavalry".  I'm surprised to find that it's not featured in Duncan's book AMPW!

It's a great little figure and the Donnington horses are superb.  Before I buy some more, what I'd like to know is what colour(s) would be appropriate for the shield and what generic colours I can use for the tunic and cloak?

Finally, I'm assuming the riders hair will be dark.  Am I correct?

I think it's partly based on this illustration from Sekunda's Seleucid book (plus probably an uncoloured grave stela from Abdera).

Thracians famously tend towards red hair - "Men make their Gods in their own image ... those of the Thracians have blue eyes and red hair".

Did Sekunda base the purple shield on the colours of the Tomb of the Erotes?
