After months of preparation, I set out for my third KITN competition on a decent October day. At one point I didn't think I'd make it this year, but thanks to some good friends I did. The trip across the Pennines went well and we found our B&B easily enough.

Guess who didn't update the title in blogger?  Links still works.  It's been a long week.

I really do like the style especially the mugshots and preamble  :)

Thanks for the kind comments.

The mug shots personalise the games and help me remember people.  Splitting the report into sections really helps me write the report and acts as a break on the inevitable  meaningless "war waffle" we are prone to when writing AARs.  Strangely I find brevity a real aid in achieving clarity.

An enjoyable report, though I opened it with the expectation that the King of the North would be about early medieval Britons and Saxons fighting Gaels and Picts, so had a moment of surprise when the Macedonians marched on!

It has an Anglo-Scots competition within the main competition, hence the name.  The Scots won handsomely this year.

Thank you for the links, Martin.

An enjoyable report and reflections on your army, the rules and your games.

You don't state the scale(s) used but I assume all are using 15mm.
