An article that was new to me (though published in 2001) is Bopearachchi's Armures et armes des Indo-Scythes d'après leurs émissions monétaires et les données archéologiques. As well as Indo-Scythians in the strict sense he talks about Kushan evidence. New and interesting to me are figures 6 and 7 (7 is also at figure 12), both "Gandharan" - most "Gandharan art" was produced in the Kushan period. Fig 6 is a hunter, possibly female, shooting a bow from the back of an armoured horse; 7/12 is an armoured foot-archer.
