Somerset ancient trackways

Nick Harbud

Constructed in 3807 BC and is still awaiting improvement to something better than a trackway.  Sounds like the A303 near Stonehenge.

I have a couple of books by Richard Brunning that cover these ancient trackways - in particular 'Avalon Marshes Archaeology' has some good pics and diagrams. (His partner who is also an archaeologist is in our football club and she describes the digs as being 'a bit of a mud fest!')
