Is this allowed outside Cumbria, Jim?  And how do you know it was wilful morons?  A more likely explanation is someone mis-programmed the GPS when they were looking for this place.

I'd hope other areas allowed it, I like to think that the old standards of decency and good order survive more widely than just in the promised land of Cumbria ;-)

I thought this might provide some inspiration for heritage protection in Cumbria and elsewhere.
