The Oldest Sword in Poland

As part of an ongoing (from 2008) dig at the Gorzyca burial grounds, some quite good bronze weaponry from the 'Tumulus culture' of Bronze Age central Europe has been uncovered.  Article here.

"More investigations will be carried out, before the end of the year, when the archaeologists hope to publish a review explaining what function each objects performed in the context of the Tumulus culture."  So hopefully watch this space.
