I have just placed a few photos and a brief description of one of the Big Battle DBA games on-line, played last Sunday.

It covers the battle in Italy between Gaius Flaminius and Hannibal in 217 BC. With the armies of Gaius Flaminius and Gnaeus Servilius Geminus combined the Punic invader looked set for a desperate battle...

Did I see your Cartho opponent post his version of the battle on TMP?

Excellent report, Keith.
And, as always, great pics.

Was there a littoral landing at all (I assume not...in BBDBA, is it a full command that has to take to the ships for one of those?)?

Nice report, Keith. Always great to see a veteran army take to the table once more, isn't it?

You did. Mark provided a synopsis of his three BBDBA games while I provided an earlier general overview of both DBA and BBDBA on in previous posts on my site. This one latest report had a little more detail and more importantly some additional photos.

No, there were no landings. I suspected there could have been in a battle between the Athenians and Carthaginians but neither player attempted one.

You are correct. In BBDBA it requires a complete command so a considerable commitment.

Yes, there is. It was good to get them on the table and I was really pleased how they looked. A significant improvement on the earlier presentation.

Thanks for your kind words Chris. You will have noticed there were no war wagons this time...
