I hadn't realised you were interested in pre Ordonnance armies.  There is a good, but rather old school, account of Montlhery in Paul Murray Kendal Louis XI 

Embleton's Medieval Military Costume has reconstructions of several liveries from Montlhery.

Back to ordonnance matters.

This article by Gerry Embleton on Military Drill provides the French text and English translation of the the training section of St Maximin de Treves ordonnance of 1473

Took a bit of lateral thinking to get that one, as it no longer shows up on Google searches.  All the Dragons are available, just alter the edition number if you want one of the others.

Thanks again for the ideas.  I think I will park this for now as I really need to concentrate more on the Wars of the Roses but I am sure that I will return to this thread later in the year
