as an ex-reenactor I fully buy into the concept!

I'm never sure about that term.

It always makes me imagine archaeologists cutting lines of sub stratum clay out on the back of a trowel and snorting to get a hit from the earth of the dig.

Or smoking some crushed pottery shards, or some such.

You know, the sort of thing you would expect academically trained folk to experiment with on a dig

I Normally study animal swarm behavior, so I am really just studying human animals.
