This Forum uses the "General Forum Rules" set out in the General Discussion forum. Please ensure you are familiar with these.

The purpose of this forum (and, as regards the terminology of the general forum rules, its "Topic") is to allow forum members to depict and discuss construction, classification, weaponry and tactics belonging to ships and navies in the Society's period of interest (beginning of warfare to about the end of the fifteenth century).  This may ultimately create a useful 'one-stop' maritime database for interested members.

Contributors giving ship and weapon descriptions are encouraged to provide pictures or links to pictures, though this is optional.

Constructive discussion of tactical systems and possibilities is also encouraged.
